The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time is a novel by Mark Haddon. Published in 2003 by Doubleday Publishing Group. The story is written from the perspective of Christopher John Francis Boon, a 15-year-old autistic boy living in England. The novel is loosely inspired by Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle. The novel is a bit of a murder mystery itself. Be sure to have a read.
